Eva Epker

Director of Marketing

Coming from an all-girls high school on the East Coast, Eva sought out a college with sunny weather: a decision that led her to Stanford University and Silicon Valley.

After graduating with a degree in English, Eva left California - but not for long. At her first post-grad job, in the PetSmart Home Office in Phoenix, Arizona, she learned not only about merchandise allocation, financial planning, and copywriting but also how important a brand with a mission - like PetSmart and, later Avestria - were to her.

When two friends pulled her back into the Bay Area for a role in a SaaS startup, Eva doubled down on her efforts in marketing, especially content and brand marketing. In September 2019, she joined Avestria as the Director of Marketing, responsible for marketing logistics, events, and content, including social media. (Come say hi to her and Avestria on Twitter and LinkedIn!)

She has since used her corporate and start-up experience, her writing and marketing backgrounds, and her passion for supporting girls and women to help Avestria build its brand and invest in and educate others around women’s health and female-led life science initiatives. Since 2023, Eva has also been a contributing writer for Forbes Women, writing bimonthly about women’s health and women’s health-adjacent issues - and her work has also been published in Business Insider, Fast Company, and MedCity News, among others.

Eva graduated from Stanford University with a B.A in English. She left Avestria to pursue her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, starting in the fall of 2024.
